Course Description

This course will feature a brand-new play by famed Canadian playwright, George F. Walker, written especially for this course and exclusively featuring characters over the age of 50. Perfect for actors, directors, and playwrights alike, this will be your opportunity to work collaboratively with George, as he further develops and workshops this play. Whether you want to direct and/or act in a scene, share your creative ideas, or just develop a better understanding of the play development process, this is the course for you.

George F. Walker has won 9 Chalmers Awards, 5 Dora Mavor Moor Awards, 3 Governor General's awards (including the Lifetime Achievement Award), and has been appointed to the Order of Canada. His hard-hitting tragicomedies often illuminate the lives of poor and marginalized people.
