Celebrating the 2024 Leaders in Learning

On the evening of November 20, The Chang School held an online celebration event recognizing the outstanding leaders in continuous learning and the many amazing accomplishments of our community members.

In addition to congratulating the award recipients and thanking the award donors, attendees got to hear an inspiring keynote speech from Maha Naqi, 2021 graduate from the Certificate in Mental Health and Addictions and a 2020 Leaders in Learning award winner.

Among the award recipients was Annessa Dehaney, winner of the SlimmDuck Scholarship, a scholarship funded by Toronto Raptors' Chris Boucher for students of Caribbean descent looking to realize their academic aspirations.

"I am so proud to continue to support students like, Annessa." says Chris Boucher. "We established the SlimmDuck Scholarship to give back to the community, increase representation in higher education, and create a pathway to future success. Congratulations to Annessa - I look forward to following your incredible journey."

These annual merit-based awards celebrate the Chang School community members who have reached their goals through outstanding academic performance and leadership. A huge congratulations to all of our 2024 award recipients!
