
Linda Koechli, PhD
Dean
Linda assumed the role of Dean in December 2024, capping nearly two decades of dedicated service to the Toronto Metropolitan University community. Throughout her tenure, she has been a driving force in advancing innovative, career-relevant, and accessible programming for continuous learners. Her leadership has been instrumental in forging successful partnerships with employers, industry leaders, government bodies, and community organizations.
In her various leadership capacities at The Chang School, Linda has overseen the complete lifecycle of certificate program development, delivery, and assessment. Notably, as Assistant Dean, Programs, she played a pivotal role in shaping and implementing bold and forward-thinking strategies to meet the evolving needs of today’s continuous learners. This included the strategic introduction of competency-based microcredentials, postgraduate certificates, and the School’s inaugural full-time international certificate program. Linda also served on the Advisory Group for TMU’s 2025-2030 Academic Plan.
Linda holds a Doctor of Philosophy and a Master of Arts from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University. She also earned the Professional Continuing and Online (PCO) Leader Certification from UPCEA, further underscoring her commitment to leadership in continuing education.
