Taking a Curv Microcredential

Ready to begin your Curv microcredential journey? Below is a week-by-week description of what happens from when you get access to the microcredential material to sharing your digital credential.

How will you be assessed?

While every Curv microcredential assessment is unique, there are similar features. These include:

• Scenario-based: Each microcredential assessment is grounded in a real workplace scenario. You will be asked to complete a number of tasks in context.
• Timeframe: Some microcredential assessments have a timed component, but you choose when to start. You can open the timed assessment window at any point within the second week of your two-week microcredential.
• Evaluation: After completing the assessment, an expert will evaluate your work to determine whether it meets the criteria and give you individualized feedback.
• Results: If successful, you will receive a sharable Curv microcredential digital credential from The Chang School at Toronto Metropolitan University. The digital credential contains metadata that identifies the institution that issued it and the competencies required to earn it. If you are not successful in your assessment, you can re-enrol when the microcredential is next available and try again. Before re-enrolling, review your individualized feedback and address any gaps in your knowledge or skills.

Every microcredential submission is reviewed by an expert assessor: someone who has deep knowledge and professional experience working in the field that the Curv microcredential is focused on. Think of your expert assessor as a mentor or someone who can give you meaningful, personalized feedback on your work and help you grow as a professional.
