†The elective category only applies to the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction; Business and Information Management; and Community and Health Services Management streams. If you are in the Project Management Stream, you do not need to complete this category.

- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
- With 6 Grade 12 U or M credits

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to complete the certificate?
Most learners take two to three years to complete their project management training online. The Chang School requires that you finish the certificate within five years of your first registration in the certificate program.
Can I fast-track completing this certificate?
By following an intensive schedule, it’s possible to earn the certificate in two consecutive terms by taking three courses in the first term and five courses in the second term.

Do the courses require any group work?
Yes. All the courses require the completion of one group work project. Because projects are undertaken by teams, learning to work on a team is an important aspect of the certificate program. Working in groups will also allow you to network with your classmates. In online courses, group work is mostly done virtually, but your group can also decide to meet in person.
How much time is involved per week?
As a general guideline, you should allow for three additional hours per week outside of the classroom hours. This will vary from week to week and will depend on your learning style.
Do you provide career resources?
As an active Project Management learner, you may use the services of Toronto Metropolitan University's Career, Co-op & Student Success Centre. These services include free workshops, employer information resources, and employment counselling.
