Course Description

This course examines the directing process from conceptualization to rehearsal, focusing on how directors read and analyze scripts. You’ll also learn how to communicate with fellow theatre artists of all disciplines. Before class please read Howard Barker’s The Possibilities.  Choose one of the playlets to analyze and record the thoughts and impulses that arise during your first reading. You’ll be sent a supplementary play list after registering.
