Course Description

This course provides students with the ability to contextualize evaluation and recommendations in their social and organizational context. Topics covered include organizational behavior, social theory, and social, economic, and cultural systems and their impact on people and evaluations. Students will also learn to assess the quality of their interpretations, how to make recommendations that are likely to promote the desired outcomes, and how to present findings and recommendations in a final report.

To ensure every learner is set up for success, there are a few eligibility requirements you’ll need to meet. If you’re interested in taking courses in this postgraduate certificate program, simply complete our short online application form. Don’t worry–completing the form does not commit you to completing the certificate. Enrolling in a certificate is a separate process.

Notes

This course is fully online with both asynchronous and synchronous components, meaning that there are only a limited number of times where you will be asked to be online for a live synchronous session via Zoom or Google Meet. Dates and times for these sessions will be posted in the course section schedule. 

Throughout the course you can expect an interactive experience where you will engage with weekly module content and activities independently, as well as collaborate with your peers through discussion forums and group projects. Please note that assignments and discussion participation may have deadlines.
