Course Description

Remember Duck Variations (from Intro to Scene Study)? Here’s an opportunity to revisit the play and go a lot deeper, while trying out a number of different approaches you can apply to other scripts. We’ll explore a variety of methods and theatre genres to help you play more freely and to embody the characters’ thoughts, emotions and physical reactions. You’ll also be encouraged to come up with and share your own ideas for ways to inhabit a character. You’ll be assigned a character and encouraged to memorize a short scene from the play.
