CYPG 610 - Evaluating Learning Design Technologies

Course Description

Being able to responsibly navigate an expanding learning technology landscape is a critical capability of modern L&D. Learners will examine learning management systems, learning experience platforms, authoring tools, AI-driven solutions, adaptive learning, and collaborative learning technologies to assess their functionality, best-use scenarios, and impact on learning experiences. Learners will develop strategies for integrating technology into instructional design while considering organizational goals, budget constraints, accessibility, and compliance standards. Ethical considerations, including AI bias, data privacy, and human-centered design, will be explored to ensure responsible technology adoption. Learners will develop core digital content management skills within a learning and development context, evaluate emerging tools, and design AI-generated learning modules with a critical eye. Learners will be equipped to make informed technology decisions that enhance learning effectiveness and organizational success.
