CYPG 613 - Learning Needs Analysis
Course Description
Learning needs analysis is a foundational diagnostic tool in modern L&D. Learners will build the ability to identify performance gaps, segment learner audiences, and define the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to support both individual and organizational performance. Participants will apply diverse data collection methods to assess needs at multiple levels. They will practice framing findings into clear performance outcomes, establishing enabling and terminal learning objectives, and designing evaluation strategies. Learners will hone their ability to prioritize learning needs and to analyse constraints that shape the scope and focus of potential interventions. Learners will be equipped to craft evidence-based, results-focused learning proposals that inform client decision-making, support performance improvement, and reinforce the L&D function’s role as a strategic partner in business success.
