Course Description

The creative nonfiction essay brings together elements of memoir, cultural criticism, journalism, and even poetry in a single literary work and offers an opportunity to speak your mind on subjects you’re passionate about while using imagery, voice, plot and humour. Students will read examples and participate in writing exercises to jumpstart their own essays. Every participant will have an opportunity to complete and workshop creative nonfiction essays, receiving feedback from the instructor and peers.
