Course Description

In this course, we will bring an iconoclastic gaze to ancient Greek comedies and satyr plays in order to tease out the historical, mythological, political, and literary significances of these texts. In so doing, we will ask how and why we make comedies, and what makes a good one.

This course is not a prerequisite for CSAC390 or CSAC391 and is not a prerequisite to be a part of the June production of Lysistrata.
