CITM 750 - IS Project Management
Course Description
This course provides students with a more in-depth understanding of the tools and techniques of project management as it applies to IT-enabled process improvement projects. The ability to plan and execute projects successfully is consistently ranked among the most important skills among information technology professionals. The course is based on the industry-standard Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and provides cutting-edge techniques for project planning, scheduling, budgeting, human resources, quality, procurement, communication, and risk management.Sample Course Outline

Online Delivery
This course is offered in an online, asynchronous format except for its final exam and midterm (as of Fall 2024), which are held on campus.
Asynchronous learning means that you typically will not have to be online at specific times. You will engage with the course material through online tools such as announcements, discussions, and email. Learning will be based on weekly module content and activities you can work through independently. Note: You will have deadlines for assignment submissions, and you may be expected to participate in discussion board interactions with your peers on a regular basis.
Your instructor may also include occasional scheduled sessions for Q&As and other discussion activities using web conferencing tools such as Zoom and Google Meet. Details will be included in your course outline, which will be available on the first day of classes.
On-campus exam requirement: Your final and midterm exams will be written in person at the Toronto Metropolitan University campus. If you live more than 100 km from the TMU campus, you may arrange to write your exam off-campus using an approved invigilation service. Details on your exam date and how to arrange off-campus invigilation can be found on the Exams for Online Courses webpage.
