Course Description

This course for students with a basic knowledge of Spanish uses a communicative approach to learning a new language. Students become increasingly familiar with complex sentence structures and with the vocabulary required for a good working knowledge of the language. Appropriate cultural readings and exposure to the Spanish-speaking world are integral parts of the course.

Notes

All students must take an interview/placement assessment before enrolling in this course.

This course will require you to be online for live lectures at the scheduled time. There will also be some pre-recorded lectures. Class recordings will be available until the end of the exam period. More details will be included in your course outline available on the first day of class.

On-campus exam requirement: Beginning Winter 2023, your final exam will be written in person at the Toronto Metropolitan University campus. If you live more than 100 km from the TMU campus, you may arrange to write your exam off-campus using an approved off-campus invigilation service. Details on your exam date and how to arrange off-campus invigilation can be found on the Exams for Online Courses webpage.

Prerequisite: CSPN 201 or placement test required (www.torontomu.ca/llc)
