Course Description

This course is an introduction to knitwear. Students research style, colour and fabrication trends to design men's or women's knitted apparel for a specific market. Knitwear terminology and mass production techniques will be analyzed as they apply to the design room. Domestic and off-shore production, the use of technology, the purchasing and inventory of raw goods will be covered.

Registered certificate program students who do not have the requisites and who wish to take this course should contact Ana Abreu, Program Coordinator, at aabreu@torontomu.ca for more information. A requisite may be waived if the student has previous knitting or craft experience.
