Course Description

This course is for students who feel comfortable using Spanish, but who wish to perfect their listening comprehension, oral communication, correctness and spontaneity of expression, sensitivity to language registers as well as the written aspects of the language. Newspaper clippings, magazine articles and videos introduce students to various aspects of the Spanish-speaking world. A novel is studied, and medium-length essays and commentaries improve writing and analytical skills.

Notes

All students must take an interview/placement assessment before enrolling in this course.

Supplies and materials to be purchased by the student: Additional supplies and materials are required (cost TBA). 

On-campus exam requirement: Please be advised that your final exam will be written in person at the Toronto Metropolitan University campus. If you live more than 100 km from the TMU campus, you may arrange to write your exam off-campus using an approved off-campus invigilation service. Details on your exam date and how to arrange off-campus invigilation can be found on the Exams for Online Courses webpage.

Prerequisite: CSPN 501 or placement test required (www.torontomu.ca/llc/)
