Course Description

This course introduces concepts and theories most relevant to the study of racism in everyday life. The development of multicultural societies, as well as a critique of the concept of multiculturalism will be examined. We will explore how white supremacy and oppressive practices of systemic racism in social institutions have had specific repercussions for Indigenous and racialized communities.
