Course Description

This course is designed to help students with no knowledge of Arabic to begin developing functional communication abilities in all four language skills in Modern Standard Arabic. Using a variety of authentic materials, students will learn to engage in culturally authentic situations. By the end of this course, students will be able to read and write simple sentences and talk about subjects related to family, studies, and social environment.

Notes

All students must take an interview/placement assessment before enrolling in this course. New students who do not have a TMU Student Number should Create a Student Profile and obtain a student number before completing the assessment.

This course will require you to be online for live lectures every week at the scheduled time. Class recordings will also be available until after your exam period. More details will be included in your course outline available on the first day of class.
