CSAC 328 - Directing Actors: Approaches

Course Description

Directors can help actors flourish creatively or shut them down. In this seminar, we will look at and discuss different approaches and attitudes to directing. We will also discuss how different kinds of plays also affect a director’s approach. We will practice and learn together by doing the work of directing. This course serves actors who are looking at how to more clearly express their struggles to a director and directors who are wanting to deepen their understanding of how to work with different kinds of actors and actors at different levels.
