Course Description

This exercise breaks a play text down into small pieces and encourages performers to choose evocative words directly from the text as a way of keying in to the fundamental ideas and emotions of the play. The goal is to help both director and cast react to a given text on an instinctive level, distilling the play down to its essential ideas.
