Bursaries and Grants

Need-based financial aid is usually awarded based on a combination of demonstrated financial need and a specific minimum cumulative grade point average or CGPA. The Chang School’s bursaries are administered through AwardSpring.

There are two types of need-based financial aid available for continuing education students:

How to apply for bursaries through AwardSpring

  1. Have/Create a student number.
  2. Enrol in a Chang School course and pay the applicable fees.
  3. Create an AwardSpring account as all Chang School bursaries are administered through AwardSpring.
  4. In AwardSpring, submit a general application and your qualifications will be matched to all financial aid opportunities for which you are eligible. If you are not matched for a specific opportunity that you are interested in, there is at least one qualification that makes you ineligible. Check your AwardSpring account for updates.

The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education Tuition Fee Bursary - Winter 2026 Students must be a Chang School continuing education student (CNED), enrolled in a Chang School continuing education course, who demonstrate financial need and if returning who have a minimum CGPA of 2.0 (C).

Up to $800 for one course

Winter 2026: Application will be online mid January 2026. Website will be updated.

Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education Tuition Fee Bursary - Spring/Summer 2026 Students must be a Chang School continuing education student (CNED), enrolled in a Chang School continuing education course, who demonstrate financial need and if returning who have a minimum CGPA of 2.0 (C).

TMAPS Bursaries (Awarded by The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education) Students enrolled in a Chang School continuing education course and who demonstrate financial need.

Up to $500 for one course

August 27 to September 28, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.

Grants Available

Award Name Eligibility/Criteria Value Application Deadline
TMAPS Emergency Grant Applicants must be enrolled in a part-time degree, continuing education, or distance education course during the term of their application. They must also demonstrate urgent financial need due to a recent, unexpected event beyond their control.

Up to $500 once per academic year (an academic year is September to August 31).

Apply for TMAPS Emergency Grant

TMAPS Global Emergency Relief Grant Current or recent (within the past academic year) TMAPS members affected by a qualifying crisis are eligible. TMAPS includes distance, continuing education, part-time, or Chang School students (undergraduate, graduate, or international).

Up to $500 once per academic year (an academic year is September to August 31).
