Course Description

The Psychology of Pandemic Life is a 4-week online course that will explore how the various political, societal, and biological factors that prevailed during the COVID-19 pandemic have affected various facets of our mental health. Through lectures, reading, group discussions, and guided reflections, this course will explore how the pandemic has impacted society’s anxiety and our relationship with grief and mortality. It will also examine the history of recorded health crises and how they have affected mental health of past societies. All the while, this course will endeavor to highlight how resilience has flourished amidst adversity. No previous knowledge in the area of medicine, psychology, or sociology is necessary for participation or enjoyment of this course.
