Do you have experience in IT, engineering, science, environmental science, or other related sectors? Have you worked in project management before? Our provincially supported Middle-Level Managers (MLM) with Technical Background Bridge Training Program will help you boost your resume and transition seamlessly into rewarding project management positions.
You can complete the program online in as little as eight months. You will graduate with a Certificate in Project Management for Technical Professionals. This certificate includes training in:

Keen to get your Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification? Good news – you’ll also meet the required education contact hours to write the PMP exam offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Application Process
If you’re interested and meet the admission criteria, contact mlm@torontomu.ca. Candidates must attend an information and orientation session.
Qualified candidates will receive the MLM Program Application Form and the Ontario Bridge Participant Assistance Program (OBPAP) Application Form.
Admission Criteria
All applicants to the MLM bridge training program must satisfy the following requirements:
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or convention refugee living in Ontario at the time of application
- Be an ITI in a technical area
- Have a post-secondary education outside of Canada
- Have previous work experience in project management
- Demonstrate English language proficiency at this level or higher:
- Canadian Language Benchmarks Placement Test (CLBPT) Level 7, or
- IELTS of 6.0
Financial Support
Candidates for the MLM Bridge Training Program can apply for the Ontario Bridging Participant Assistance Program (OBPAP), which provides bursary assistance to internationally trained immigrants with financial need.
Bursary assistance is restricted to Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons living in Ontario, and is intended to fully cover direct education costs such as tuition and books.
